General Information

Choice Program applications for the 2019 – 2020 school year will be accepted January 7, 2019 – February 20, 2019, for the 2019 – 2020 school year.

Families are encouraged to come out and explore all of the elementary, middle, and high school Choice Program options for the 2019 – 2020 school year on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at E. E. Smith High School.  Principals and Academy Directors will be available to provide information about CCS Choice Program opportunities.  After all your questions are answered; you can apply online at the Choice Online Stations located on site.

The Cumberland County School’ (CCS) Choice Program Fair will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at E. E. Smith High School.

E. E. Smith High School is located at 1800 Seabrook Rd, Fayetteville, NC.

  • 9:30 am – Parent Meeting for Albritton Middle School 8th graders
  • 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Choice Program Fair (elementary, middle, high school) 

CCS is proud to offer a variety of Choice Program tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.  All CCS’ schools teach the North Carolina standard curriculum; it is how the curriculum is taught that distinguishes one Choice Program from another.  Choice Programs are offered at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and include locally developed themes as well as nationally recognized models.  Exercise your power of choice with CCS by learning more about the Choice Programs available to CCS students and select a program that best matches your child’s interests and future goals.

Click on the appropriate buttons to the right of this page linking you to the Choice Program options at each grade level.  For additional information about a specific CCS’  Choice Program, call the school to speak to the principal or Academy Director.   If you have questions regarding the status of your application or student placement, contact the CCS’ Student Assignment Office at 910.678.2616.

Transferring Schools During the School Year:
Once a parent/legal custodian makes the commitment to enroll a student in a particular CCS’ Choice Program,
the parent/legal custodian will not be able to transfer the student to another school during the school year.
Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Board of Education and must be requested in writing.
